Presenting in English – Giving Professional Talks in an International Context
This course in English language aims at the improvement of practical presentation skills, with many exercises and reflection parts. It is a regular Bachelor level class, but also open to university members and external participants. It may best be used to prepare for an already scheduled and especially challenging talk, e.g. at a scientific conference, in a business workshop, or a university examination.
Fluent English is required.
Content:
- Basics of presentation in an international context
- Choice of topic and structure in presentations
- Designing text slides and handouts for presentations
- Designing image slides for presentations
- Presentations “unplugged”: storytelling, flipchart etc.
- Voice and gestures; camera training

Fee:
Participation is free for students and staff of Hochschule Merseburg. The fee for external participants is 50,- €, including a participation certificate.
